LOD, (PIC)-- A large force of Israeli police demolished Tuesday morning two houses belonging to Hussein Abu Zaid and Dab’ Abu Zaidin the city of Lod in 1948-occupied Palestine.

Witnesses said police arrested two of the households’ men who attempted to obstruct the bulldozers from proceeding to destroy the homes. The men were identified as Salim Abu Zaid and Mahmoud Salim Abou Zaid.

The demolition order was issued against only one of the houses, but police also destroyed the second, sparking outrage among locals.

The demolition was decided to be postponed until the end of October, but police rushed to take down the home before the end of the month when a new court order would be required to carry out the operation.

In a separate development, Israeli settlers defaced Tuesday morning the walls of institutions, shops, and a church in the city of Jaffa in 1948-occupied Palestinian territories with racial slurs glorifying Kahane Tzadak.

Witnesses said slogans were written on the walls of an Islamic club, a Latin church, off of the Abul-Abd restaurant, near the Al Hummus Al Asli restaurant, off of the Ghazaziwa garden, and on the gate of a school.

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation police detained six Palestinians in Ras Al-Amud suburb in occupied Jerusalem on Tuesday, alleging they threw stones at security forces.

The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) claimed that the six citizens were captured after throwing stones at a border police patrol, which caused no damage.

Israel's internal security minister Yitzhak Aharonovic had recently ordered intensifying arrest campaigns in all areas of occupied Jerusalem in a bid to curb the phenomenon of throwing stones at Jewish setters.

Jewish settlers destroy 200 olive trees in Nablus

NABLUS, (PIC)-- Citizens in Deir Al-Hatab village, Nablus district, were stunned at the sight of 200 of their olive trees damaged in the fields after Jewish settlers poured sewage water from the nearby Allon Moreh settlement into their land.

The citizens said on Tuesday that the settlers usually discharge polluted water from factories of canned meat and spices into their land, which had already destroyed 500 dunums of their cultivated land lots.

They said that the Israeli occupation authority had told them a long time ago that no more sewage water would be allowed to flow into their land but the contrary was happening. They charged the settlers with intentionally planning such aggressive acts to drive the citizens out of their land and annex them to the settlement.

26/10/2010 Thousands of olive trees in a northern West Bank village have been ruined after being flooded with sewage from a nearby Israeli settlement, residents told AFP on Tuesday.

The discovery was made when villagers from Deir al-Hatab just west of Nablus, went to harvest their olives in a grove which lies very close to the Elon Moreh settlement, the head of the village council said.

Abdel Karim Hussein said the army does not allow villagers regular access to their trees for "security reasons" and it was the first time they had visited the grove since last year.

"They were allowed to go to their fields this morning and when they arrived, the farmer could hardly see his land - it was flooded with sewage and chemicals," he said.

"More than 2,000 of the trees have died and they cannot pick from the rest."

Since the start of the olive harvest this month, there have been scores of Palestinian complaints about settlers cutting down trees, stealing olives or preventing farmers from harvesting their crops, human rights groups and police say.
