IOF troops raze Palestinian homes, shop

RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) razed two Palestinian homes and a shop in Laban Gharbi village, west of Ramallah city, on Wednesday at the pretext of lack of construction permit.

Local sources said that big numbers of those soldiers in tens of armored vehicles imposed a tight siege on the village before the military bulldozers started to knock down the two houses.

They added that the IOF soldiers served demolition notices to owners of ten other houses in the same village at the usual pretext of not obtaining prior construction permits.

The village is located in the area C under full Israeli security and civil control as stipulated in the Oslo accords.

Hebrew media revealed a few days ago that the Israeli occupation authority had ordered the IOF to embark on a large-scale demolition campaign of Palestinian homes in area C, alleging they threatened Israel and settlers' security since they are located on roads used by those settlers.
