GAZA, (PIC)-- The armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, the Quds Brigades, on Monday denounced the Ramallah authority's security campaigns against its cadres in the West Bank.

Abu Ahmed, the armed wing's spokesman, said in a statement that the security campaigns were in coordination with the Israeli occupation authority (IOA).

He underlined that Palestinians should set aside their political differences and unite in face of the IOA attacks on the Aqsa Mosque, otherwise it would be divided similar to what happened to the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil.

Ramallah militias, loyal to Mahmoud Abbas the PA chief whose term in office expired last January, had rounded up 8 Jihad activists while others were still being chased.

Abbas's militias also kidnapped two Hamas supporters in the West Bank over the past two days in Ramallah district.

For its part, the illegitimate government of Salam Fayyad continued to dismiss civil servants for their political affiliation, sacking 22 teachers, including two brothers, in Nablus and Al-Khalil districts.
