RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Fatah MPs and employees of the Palestinian legislative council on Tuesday refused to open the gates of the PLC building in Ramallah for Dr. Aziz Dwaik, the PLC speaker, to address a press conference there after his release from occupation jails.

Well informed sources told PIC reporter that the Palestinians, who arrived at the scene to welcome Dwaik, pitched a large tent for the purpose.

The sources described what happened as "an abhorred partisan scene" that reflected the plot against the "head of Palestinian legitimacy".

Ibrahim Khreisha, who considers himself the PLC secretary general in Ramallah, had asked all employees to take the day off, recalling that he had exercised the same role against Dr. Mahmoud Al-Ramahi where he confiscated and closed his office. Ramahi was the PLC secretary on his detention by the Israeli occupation authority.

The sources charged that what happened was in harmony with IOA wishes and ran contrary to Dwaik's calls for national reconciliation and unity.
