13/05/2009 … And the Israeli Mossad-linked networks in Lebanon continue to collapse!

Well-informed sources told Al-Manar on Wednesday that the Lebanese authorities have uncovered two other networks spying for the Zionist entity. The first is a two-member spy network in the southern town of Ain Ibl and another one-member network in the southern town of Aitaroun including one person.

The sources said that Suspect Ghassan H. from Aitaroun works on recruiting spies for Israel while the two other spies from Ain Ibl, Camille and Rizk A., were able to escape.

Earlier, Internal Security Forces (ISF) chief General Ashraf Rifi told Al-Manar that the communication panels between the security forces and the Resistance weren't ceased during the last four years.

He said that the technological progress helped the ISF uncover the spying cells and promised to uncover more networks within the few coming days. He added that among those who were arrested some who are suspected of determining specific targets during the Israeli July 2006 war against Lebanon.

Lebanese security forces have arrested more than 25 suspects on charges of spying for Tel Aviv in recent months.

Lebanon has charged six more people with spying for Israel's notorious intelligence agency, Mossad, judicial sources say.

The six, all Lebanese nationals, are accused of charges ranging from providing Israel with information to help its armed forces to visiting "the enemy country" -Israel -- without permission.

A senior police officer, his wife and sister were among those charged.

The Wednesday charges bring to 13 the number of people formally accused of espionage for Tel Aviv. The defendants could face capital punishment if convicted.

Lebanese security forces have uncovered several Israeli espionage rings and arrested up to 25 suspects on charges of spying for Tel Aviv in recent months. Most of the detainees were reportedly equipped with high-tech espionage apparatus.

Israeli officials have not commented on the arrests.
