Arabs should learn from North Korea

Arabs should learn from North Korea

North Korea’s successful nuclear test early Monday may not be good news for states like Israel and her guardian-ally, the United State. These countries wish to perpetuate their world hegemony by depriving other “non-conformist” nations of the means to defend themselves.

But, in a certain sense, the underground testing may be an uplifting piece of news for oppressed nations long bullied and persecuted by America’s imperialism.

The U.S. and its European allies are likely to condemn in the strongest terms the latest nuclear testing in the Korean Peninsula . After all, these countries have been desperately trying to see to it that the “wrong weapons don’t get to the wrong hands.”

Well, if by “wrong hands,” the west alludes to those states that would misuse nuclear weapons, then we should remember that the only country in this world to have used nuclear bombs against a non-nuclear state was the United States itself.

Moreover, it is probably safe to argue that Israel, the manifestly criminal entity, is the most likely state to use nuclear weapons against her Middle Eastern neighbors, not to protect itself from an imaginary or phobic danger, but rather to ensure long-range plans to build a Zionist-Jewish empire extending from the Nile to the Euphrates .

North Korea is one of the world’s most impoverished nations, thanks to its fierce independence and adamant refusal to submit to the American-Zionist new world order.

However, despite its limited resources and pariah status, it has been able to successfully safeguard its independence and national dignity.

When former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton sought rather arrogantly to dissuade North Korean officials to suspend the country’s nuclear activities, the latter retorted, without patting an eyelash, telling the arrogant American diplomat “How could you ask us to refrain from developing nuclear weapons when America was the first country to produce and use these weapons?”.

True, a nuclear arsenal doesn’t provide food for a poor country, but it does discourage potential predators from playing with fire.

Just imagine if the people in the Gaza Strip had possessed the means to defend themselves, would the evil Israeli state have contemplated launching that genocidal blitzkrieg five months ago which killed and maimed thousands of innocent people, including hundreds of children.?

Would the evil entity have maintained the crippling blockade of 1.5 million people who have to risk their lives on a daily basis obtaining food and other basic consumer goods.?

Undoubtedly, weakness invites aggression and strength make potential aggressors shy away. This is the lesson that Arab and Muslim states in the Middle East ought to learn from the latest development in North Korea .

Luckily, some Muslim states in the region are probably learning the right lesson despite all the pitfalls and landmines placed on their road to national dignity. However, there are large and rich Arab states who still think that impotence and cowardice are the best policy and that entrusting the future of their masses to Zionist-controlled America is the best guarantee against Israeli nuclear warheads.

We live in a world that looks more like a jungle where one must be a fox, or a wolf or a venomous cunning snake in order to survive. The recent Israeli genocide in Gaza was a clarion proof underscoring the barbarian nature and moral bankruptcy of the present international political order.

What else one can say of an international order that allows an entire people to be exterminated with the state-of-the-art machines of death while the capitals of the world were watching nonchalantly, as if the murdered victims were lowly beasts, not human beings.

Today, Israel is ruled by a psychopathic fascist-minded junta that is constantly threatening its neighbors, near and distant, with nuclear annihilation if they don’t submit to the “Jewish will.”

A few days ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu equated calls for ending the Israeli occupation of the West Bank , East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip with calls for a total destruction of Israel .

His thuggish Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman never stops threatening neighboring countries with destruction if they dare question Israel’s territorial expansion and regional supremacy.

But the matter really goes far beyond verbal threats. Indeed, Israel has committed and is committing every conceivable crime under the sun, without paying the slightest attention to the laws and norms of humanity, nor, indeed, to the pathetic wailing wall known as the United Nations.

The whole world is watching Israel indulge in pornographic crimes and very few states dare call the spade a spade.

And when the victims cry out for justice, the Hitlers and Eichmanns of our time cry hysterically: Auschwitz ! Bergen Belsen ! Holocaust!

My words about the Israeli nuclear danger might be misconstrued as “highly exaggerated.” The naïve would argue that Israel would never ever embark on such an unthinkable feat.

Well, I beg to differ. Israel is skidding out of control toward a sort of Jewish Nazism. Israeli leaders say openly that Jordan and Syria and Lebanon and most of Egypt are Israeli territories. Mantras about “lebensraum” and “chosen people” are constantly echoed by Israeli religious and political leaders as if we were living in 1935-Germany.

Settler leaders, inured in hatred for the rest of humanity, are saying openly that non-Jews in Israel , e.g. the five-million strong Palestinians, have either to convert to Judaism, or settle for a slave status, or be outright exterminated. Unfortunately, these words raise no eyebrows among Israeli Jews, nor, indeed, among the majority of Israeli politicians.

In Jerusalem , Israel is seriously narrowing Palestinian horizons in ways unprecedented since the Franks seized al-Quds nearly a thousand years ago.

Undoubtedly, were it not for the strategic weakness of the Arab world and the disgraceful subservience of its major powers, such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia, to the American will (which itself is held hostage to the whims of the Jewish lobbies such as AIPAC), the nefarious Zionists wouldn’t be behaving as they have been.

This is why, Arab and Muslim states in the Middle East and beyond should make a quick departure from the erstwhile policies of coming to terms with the Israeli nuclear arsenal on the ground that the US wouldn’t allow the Zionist regime to use nuclear weapons against them.

To be sure this is a stupid and irresponsible policy to say the very least since Israel’s ultimate goal is not to annihilate hundreds of millions of Arabs but is rather to bully the entire Arab world, the masses as well as the regimes, into coming to terms with Israeli hegemony.

Israel wants to pacify the Arab-Muslim world in order to facilitate the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, Judaize al-Quds al Sharif, and perhaps, later on, carry out another phase of ethnic cleansing against millions of Palestinians who have clung to their homeland despite incessant Jewish persecution and terror.

Humanely speaking, we all wish that nuclear weapons disappear from the face of earth. Nuclear weapons are undoubtedly a demonic means of annihilation.

However, it is manifestly clear that the current nuclear international system whereby only a few countries are allowed to possess nuclear weapons has outlived its usefulness and must be dismantled.

Of course, no one is suggesting a strident proliferation of nuclear weapons. That would be irresponsible and utterly foolish. Nonetheless, the current system is untenable as it has repeatedly demonstrated its failure.

This brings us to a truly moral and radical solution, namely to eradicate all nuclear weapons from the face of earth.

Such a task won’t be easy. However, it may very well be the only savior of humanity
