Haneya gov't warns of big confrontations in light of Jewish fanatic practices

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian government led by premier Ismail Haneyya has strongly denounced the Jewish fanatics' recent storming of the holy Aqsa Mosque's plazas in occupied Jerusalem, describing it as "provocative".

The government in a statement after its weekly meeting on Tuesday said that the settlers' acts in occupied Jerusalem and other areas in the West Bank falls in line with the policy of "transfer" pursued by the ministers of Benjamin Netanyahu's government topped by Avigdor Lieberman and his fanatic party. It warned that such practices might drag the entire Middle East region into big confrontations, in defense of the holy Aqsa Mosque.

Israeli far right parties have championed the transfer of Palestinian citizens outside their indigenous hometowns in order to replace them with Jews.

The Arab leaders and peoples should adopt firm stands vis-à-vis the "real threats" that are currently targeting the Palestinian people and holy shrines in the West Bank, the statement elaborated.

It said that such practices along with Israel's far right government's refusal to the settlement option provided the clearest evidence on failure of the settlement process.

The statement then urged the Fatah faction, which controls the PA in the West Bank, to release all political detainees immediately and to stop parroting conditions of the international quartet committee in order to overcome difficulties facing reaching conciliation at the Cairo national unity dialog.

The government also condemned the PA security apparatuses' attacks in the West Bank against resistance factions and mosques and the arrest of tens of citizens for their political affiliations.
